Been a couple weeks, not as bad as last time.

The truck I wanted, the one I dropped my savings for, sold the day before I called about it. Aint that a bitch?

Moving? Not possible without the promotion, minus going to another state. Sucks huh.

I also did what I though I'd never do. I wired a chunk of cash to a person I've only talked to on the internet, someone who, by story, is very deservant of the help. It's above my character to do such a thing, but once in awhile you need to test your limits. We'll see how this one plays out.

Got Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. It's tough. Can't wait for the "everything beaten and unlocked" save file.

My PC? Fucked. It seems that a power "brown out" in the shitpile I call a home is responsible, to start.

See, there was a brown out. I started up the thing, it was ok, went to work, came home, minor crash of a prog, shut down. Restart, and BAM, hal.dll is screwed up. Problem is, my data is all on this drive, all my important stuff. Scanned pictures of the past, wallpapers, account info, addresses, what to do when dad passes, EVERYTHING!! So I try the sensible thing. Drop in another drive, install windows, use the old drive as data to grab my stuff. But no! Wait! You had to get a SATA drive! A Raptor ultra deluxe ultra fast ultra sheik sitting on 22's and they spinnin nigga they spinnin Hard Drive! Guess what that means! You can't slave it to an IDE Pinto! No! You suck!

I got that converter I mentioned, except it was SATA to IDE, and between constant reboots before the new board and all the work with the board, my SATA hard drive is fried. Period. Dead. Everything gone, no coming back.

So I ordered a new IDE hard drive. One of the better ones, only 40 GB's, but still IDE, the ol reliable. I hook it in, get Windows on, upgraded, set. I d-load and install AIM and MSN, also d-loading Netscape, Yahoo, and Firefox. After all, I have nearly 200 programs to re-find that I lost...

Brown out.

Restart, and BAM, hal.dll is screwed up Windows is dead.

What.

The.

Shit.

I'm cussin, cause now I'm figuring it's the house's fault, that once again that shitty household cost me, except this time the value of it all is priceless. My only saving grace is my Quicken info, basically my checkbook for about 3 years, and all my credit card transactions EVER, is backed up along with scans of nearly all my credit statements. But all my good files, my pictures of friends and family, my scans of pictures, nude shots of ex's *wink wink*, and more, all gone... Except the old old backups, so not EVERYONE is out of the woods...

I'm really really peeved. Oh, and just as bad, the new Cable Modem has YET to arrive, so I'm still stuck with THEM.

I hate my life. And in terms, it may not be all that bad, but it still sucks.
