Entertain the Brutes

Thursday Morning 2nd Edition

As you may notice, an entry for the 15th has mysteriously appeared. Gotta love the ability to alter dates.

So, my latest stuff, as posted on my MB...

http://forum.keithmeehan.com/index.php?showtopic=809&view=findpost&p=5823

The Graphix Mod is killer cool on the XBox. The PS2 one should be in today.

I've been playing a lot of Halo 2 over XBox Live. I'm really really enjoying the experience, and it's even better traveling in a group. I'm trying to get the clan goin, but it will take some time.

I've signed on to Bungie.net and started a "group", linked it to the clan, and constantly view my stats as well as a few other people I know from PW.com's MB.

This weekend I get two days off, Saturday and Sunday, and where's David? Going to friggin Portugal, of course. So I'll game a lot and alone.

The Latest In "My Birthday"

Entertain the Brutes

Thursday Morning Edition (PreDated)

Let's start with the obvious and how my birthday sucked ass.

I was off Saturday night, but only Saturday night. Regardless, I had David over from 8-ish till 4 to HALO 2, then he had to go to a family gettogether, and it all went downhill.

I slept. He met a chick. He finally comes over around 12, only to tell me she'll be calling at 1:15. He can only stay till 4:30. I bet you can tell what's coming.

She calls, everything stops. They talk for an hour 15 easy. I, of course, get bored. Somewhere around 3 we get back to playing, but its already shot. He's fading and has to leave soon, I'm annoyed.

The weekend before, he stopped off fir a few hours early on Saturday. He left for a "date" while I slept and worked half the night. I went home early, and we w're going to hang some more. So on the way home I call. Get nothing. Get closer, get nothing. Pass by his house. He's not there. It dawns on me that the bastage ditched me for a piece of ass that he SWORE he wasn't going to get a piece of. I spend the rest of the morning going through old comics waiting for my best friend to come through on his word.

Stupid me.

So here we are a week later, different set of circumstances, same basic BS. He gets back later than expected cause of her, then wastes my time cause of her, casually commenting that "I'm at my friends house, no I'm not being rude, him knowing me is the most rude thing I could ever do." Yet later when I complain in half jest saying he could have had her call the next day, not when he was hanging out with me, he says he didn't want to be rude to her.

That started my birthday.

The rest of the day I was plagued with total forgotteness. My father called me from Florida. My ex's mom left the obligatory marker-on-paper sign, and that was IT. No one at work remembered or cared, my ex, that fucking bitch that I to this day STILL treat better than she's ever treated me, didn't stop by to say it, no card, no gift, not even a stinikin IM.

Oh, her bf who was at the house all day and probably did her for the first time in a year just to spite me IM'd me through her account trying to get help with a DVD burning app, and stupid me actually typed out an answer before I remembered how pissed I was.

Beyond that not a damn thing. My own MOTHER didn't even call me. My own worthless mother. It's a good thing I hate people or I'd be really upset.

Entertain the Brutes

Wednesday Morning Edition

It was that time again.

A month ago (or so) I mistakenly d-loaded and installed Windows XP Service Pack 2. It began messing up a number of things for me, and finally I got annoyed and deleted it.

That worked for about 3 days, and then I started having newer worse problems. So SP2 went back on the machine.

That worked for 2 days, and I've had nothing but problems since then.

So finally I had a day off from work (the 2nd in about 62 days), so while I played GTA: SA, I backed up and rebuilt my PC.

Rebuilding, in the terms I use/know, is the process of formatting your operating system hard drive and then reinstalling everything from scratch, usually because too much stuff is working improperly. I find myself rebuilding once to twice a year.

The first attempt failed, as I have a special hard drive that requires a special disk and key press during Windows CD Booted Setup, and I forgot exactly how to do that, and then the second attempt when I did remember, it didn't work right (or I still messed it up). The third, where I got it right, failed during the main setup, having an issue finding multiple files on the CD. The fouth one was finally the charm, and I've been slowly reinstalling since.

I've played HALO 2 online and lived to tell the tale! Ok, so I only did Training Rooms, but so what? It was fun anyways. All I need is a new headset, the XBL Communicators headset sucks ass to us big headed freaks.

Between that, Fable, XMen Legends, and GTA: SA, I need a good week off!

At least I got Monday night off, and I'll have Saturday as well, which is good with my B-Day on Sunday.

quote/music: HALO 2: Original Soundtrack & New Music

Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix

Entertain the Brutes

Thursday Morning Edition

Lordy lord half a month. Let's see what's changed...

Nothing! THERE IS NOTHING UNDER THE BOX! STUPID! YOU SO STUPID!

Now that I've had my UHF moment...

Got Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. This game is huge huger than huge. I'm playing through a few missions at a time, along with attempting to upgrade my stats as fast as I can.

Finally got FedEx to stop with the "We need your signature for every package!" crap. Signed a release, and now dropoffs should be easier.

Halo 2: Original Soundtrack and New Music arrived via FedEx today. It was a shock since according to Amazon and EBGames it was due to ship next Monday. But I got it amd it's sounding RIPPED! The Mjolnir Mix of the Halo Theme is especially kickin.

Smackdown! vs RAW should be in my possession by next week along with a number of other things ordered from Amazon. Halo 2 LE will, of course, be in my hands next Tuesday. And I finally picked up Fable, so I got all sorts of gaming I don't have time to do! Yeah!

Oh and that jackass friend of mine David can't stop by this weekend. Cause he has family things to do. Cry me a river!!

Now I'm off to buy stuff from Sharper Image I can't afford. Rock!

Slainte.
