Entertain the Brutes

Friday Morning Edition

David's right, even though I'm working my post count is still low.

I haven't rightfully been bored enough though, and honestly that's a good thing. I was so bored at AmeriSuites it drove me to evil servicing, not good at all.

Course I also found out David was on vacation all of last week and couldn't be bothered to tell me, cause god forbid we actually hang out, like once, ever.

Work is going basically well. Friday and Saturday nights are for the birds, especially Saturdays. Lots of functions and drunks to deal with. But other than that it's pretty good. The money is good, but it would be better more often. Luckily my pay schedule even's out with my bill schedule. The bad news is any time I get paid, I work that Friday and Saturday alone. What a bitch.

The PS2 Hunter game was pushed back to September, and the Xbox Hunter sequel is due in October. The next Smackdown game is also due in October, and I hate waiting.

I have put under consideration buying a cheap portable DVD player for those really long nights at work. Even though I have message boards to visit, efeds to kick ass in, and stories to write, sometimes ya just need a break.

I recently added Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan to my DVD collection as well as LotR The Two Towers. I watched Broly while I was off Tuesday night, and Saturday night I think I'll get Cradle to the Grave and TTT in.

Well, other than hearing that Britney kissed Madonna at the MTV VMA's last night, I have nothing else for today, and since tomorrow will be at least a bit nuts, tune in way later.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.

Entertain the Brutes

Monday Morning Edition

Yep that's right. Bored is back.

And it's gone. Just starting the most important thing I run all night and it crashes the prog, 3 times. And the support is busy so now I'm stuck. If anyone wants to check out or in I'm doomed to hell.

Oh well.

Hunter for PS2 arrives tomorrow. Not that it matters since I doubt I'd play it Dave-less and Dave is too busy to even speak to me these days...

So this is heartbreak, huh...

Kidding, you freaks.

To add to all my fun, my AeroBed is dead. Seal busted. Piece of crap. So much for the commercials. Now I am forced to use my single person futon chair/ottoman thing as a bed, taking away my second chair/dumping grounds from the main part of the room. Guess no Dave works for right now...

Oh well. That's it. Later fools.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.

Entertain the Brutes

Friday Night Edition

Man was I fucked up the last two days.

Some freaky stomach flu/bug thing. Hit me around noon Thursday, kept me bouncing between bed, the garbage can, and the bathroom. Both ends... I think that's enough detail though. Suffice to say it was not fun.

I pushed through, trying not to be so sick as I had to call out of work. The night before I was on my own, and it was a cakewalk, so that night would be more of the same, so why call out? So I pushed and pushed until 8 p.m.. I was woken to be reminded I had wanted to make my decision by then. I drank a bit of water, maybe a cups worth, and within seconds tossed it up. That was it, the end, the decision. If drinking water was going to put me under, I couldn't take the risk, not with the bathroom a good distance away from the desk.

This morning Larry (big boss #2) called me to see how things were and go over a bit of night audit calling out protocol. Probably wanted to be sure I wasn't going to screw them over, seeing as how I've gotten such high praise for my learning abilities.

So I was bedridden most of yesterday, up for a few hours to finish SW: KotOR, then back to bed till 6:30, and up long enough to move back into L's room for another day of bed.

Apologies to anyone who attempted to contact me. I never planned on staying in there when I had first went in, so I never switched my IM stuff to away.

So back to work tonight, then one night off.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.

Monday Evening Edition

Well now. I wound up with near 8 hours of OT last week thanks to staying near 2 hours late Sunday morning. Had Sunday evening off and I am back tonight through Saturday morning.

If anyone wants to know my schedule, I have begun posting two weeks worth of it on the "About Me" link above. There you will find days of the week, dates, hours I work, and who else will be on.

I will probably have another post, more detailed, at 4 a.m., after I am done with work today/tomorrow.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.

Entertain the Brutes

Friday Morning Edition

So I came in for 9 again. Sat on my ass most of the first two hours minus Christie (Front Desk person, very cute) bitching about how Nelson 'ran' things the night before. Luckily I know the sacred art of telling all under the guise of simple chit-chat. So she made sure to leave a msg to a higher-up about how things were. She also promised to add to that if it happened again.

So far it happened again. He refused to come downstairs since I stated I *should* be ok. And when I did call him around 12:30 it took him 15 minutes to show up. We'll see if he leaves early too.

Jason the Banquet guy/Audit trainee was also around till 3:30, but minus a few exceptions he hurt me more than he helped. Tomorrow Quadir is back, though I hit it up with another 9 p.m. showing.

I will close out my second week working with 8 hours of OT (give or take). I'll also rack up a few next week, though I doubt if I ever will thereafter. Not that I care. All the OT will just fatten up my second ever check, first to be Direct Deposited, as well as help me out taxwise (I set it up to get near-max taken out so I am assured a return). I need the tax help to offset my unemployment.

Speaking of checks I got my first ever check this evening, dropped off by Security. One week and just barely under 40 hours net me $367 and change, $67 more than I planned on. Which is good since my gym is ramming it wholeheartedly up my ass.

I am a member of Spa 23. Been for a couple of years. Rarely ever used the thing though, especially once Brian forbid Laurel from spending any time with me, ever. But it cost me $59 a month, including Racquetball fees. And it went auto on my Providian VISA (worst CC company EVER), which coupled with high finance charges, ate up near my entire monthly payment.

This lovely hotel has it's own facilities, free for guests and employees. With 2 racqetball courts, I'm covered. So I cancel my membership. First off I have to fill out an Application for Termination (seriously, that's what it's called) complete with reason for quitting, if I was joining a new gym, if so where, and how I would improve Spa 23.

I've left jobs easier than this...

As I finish, I mention the savings, and the clerk tells me "Oh, you know they will still charge you on the 15th for the next month." I was like wtf? "Yeah, you need 30 days prior notice. I don't know why, but that's the way it is." So I get to pay for a month that I had already quit, for a membership I never used.

Fuckers.

And the worst part was I already SPENT that $60 on groceries, meaning I was gonna probably get screwed. Luckily the extra check money means I'm covered.

Ok, that's enough for today.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.

Entertain the Brutes

Thursday Morning Edition

While Barb, Laurel and Brian *shudder* head down to the shore, I come off of a 10 hour day. I was asked to begin coming in early, 9 p.m. to train a bit with the desk. I assumed, in now obvious stupidity, that I would then leave at 4:30 or 5 a.m. Instead the man in charge, in obvious stupidity, left me alone for an hour (5:45 to 6:45) and I have yet to leave.

I continue this way to finish the week, though I suspect Friday to Saturday I will be sent home, thanks to Quadir (the other auditor) being here. I could very well be wrong.

Yes, this does mean Overtime. Pretty good for Week #2 huh. Next week my schedule stays in the shitter as I work a 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. shift to further train in Front Desk duties. Oh. Joy.

That's my rant for now. Hopefully my reports (delayed my my own forgetfulness) will finish printing soon and allow me to leave.

In belated news, Happy B-day to Laurel who went 24 yesterday. She and I went out to lunch at TGI Fridays Monday (she has the week off vacation style bi-atch). She paid, cause I'm dead and stupid broke, though my first paycheck (I pray) will arrive this evening. I get paid early cause I'm in the Accounting Department. RAWK!!

I tried a Martini for the first time ever. Hated it. Uhm, ok, that's enough for now. Later ya assholes.

I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room. None. Oh there's champagne in the champagne room. But you don't want champagne. You want sex. And there's no sex in the champagne room.
